It’s amazing how fast time flies by sometimes, isn’t it? While it may seem like you just visited our Ford dealership to have your car winterized, it’s already time to make an appointment with our Ford service center on East 96th Street so our factory-trained technicians can get your automobile ready for spring.

Have you ever wondered what our talented technicians do when they’re preparing your car for spring? We thought you may have, which is why we put together a brief list of a few of the things we’ll take care of when you bring your car into our Ford service center for us to prep it for the upcoming change of season.

Here are a few of the tasks we’ll do as we prepare your car for spring:

·        Tires: When the temperature changes as little as ten degrees, it can affect the air pressure in your tires. When your tires are improperly inflated, it can cause them to wear unevenly and prematurely. To prevent this, one of the first things we’ll do is make sure your tires have the appropriate amount of air pressure. We’ll also examine them to ensure they have enough tread to keep you and your passengers safe on the road. If necessary, we’ll be happy to rotate your tires as well.

·        Brakes: Winter can wreak havoc on your brakes, so we’ll take a look at them, too. If we notice a problem with your brake pads or rotors, we’ll fix it for you.

·        Alignment: Potholes often appear in winter. If you’ve hit one, two, or more of them recently, your alignment and suspension may have been damaged. If you’ve noticed vibration in your steering wheel lately, let us know so we can fix your alignment and/or suspension when you bring your car into our Ford service center near Zionsville, IN.

·        Fluids & Other Tasks: We’ll top off all of your car’s critical fluids as we’re preparing your automobile for spring, including your wiper fluid. If your vehicle is due for an oil change, we’ll change your oil along with your oil filter for you. We’ll also take a look at your lights, belts, hoses, and windshield wipers to make sure they’re in good working order.

Now that you know some of the things we do to get your car ready for spring, contact Tom Wood Ford to make a service appointment today!
