The design isn't the only thing that's all-new about the next Ford Escape; as part of Ford's ongoing green initiatives, the new Escape uses 25 recycled 20-ounce plastic bottles in the carpeting of each vehicle. It's the first time Ford has used this type of carpeting in an SUV.
In addition to all the
green initiatives that our dealerships and management company already
employ, we are now partnering with Ray's Trash Service in
developing a company-wide recycling program. We will begin to place various
recycling bins throughout the dealerships to collect paper, cans and plastics.
It is our goal to begin a process where we can accumulate all mixed recyclables
and reduce the number of trash pickups per week.
