The Ford Focus has been completely re-designed for 2012.
The new Ford Focus differs from previous models in that all Focus made
worldwide will be essentially the same vehicle giving Americans a taste of
affordable European driving. Take a look at some of the details from Car and Driver with their first look of the all new Ford.
The Focus will come in several trim packages with the
Titanium model being the range-topping model. The new Focus comes
standard with a sport-tuned suspension system that Ford customers have
been deprived of in the past. Also the interior quality is ratcheted up to put
it more in line with cars such as the VW Golf and Mazda 3, which in the past
have been a higher quality then that of the Ford. Soft touch materials have
been used throughout the cockpit instead of hard un-attractive plastics. Ford
also redesigned the Focus with a sleek and dynamic body style making
it a true representation of its handling and agility. Horsepower on
this all-new compact sedan is at 160 and the fuel economy is estimated at
28mpg in the city and 38 on the highway. New sportier engine choices will be
available sometime in the future with a rumor of over 200 horsepower in the ST
model.
Buyers specifying the Focus Titanium sedan or hatchback can add the Titanium Handling Package which includes optimized suspension components, special 18 inch alloy wheels, low profile summer performance tires and a trunk mounted full size spare.
Undeniably, Ford has surpassed expectations with this model
as it beats Luxury vehicles on style, features, fuel economy, and
especially price. Check out the pricing and specifications.
